Ive always had good feelings about the Womans Building. I gave my first lecture of Women Photographers on Venice Boulevard, where I was told the space was a Womens Building. And later at First Street in downtown Los Angeles, in the building that had earlier been temporary offices for Cal Arts, I showed photographs of my work for the first time, it was the inaugural exhibition of the Womans Building. Even later on Spring Street at yet another Womans Building I attended workshops, lectures, events and performances; gave lectures, worked onsite in the darkroom and showed my photographs in several exhibitions. In the mid 70's I served briefly on the Board. The Womans Building always held mystery, passion and excitement for me, wonderful things happened there and I was thrilled to be included in its revolution and evolution.
