As a woman artist, I faced the daunting fact that Los Angeles Art Scene belonged to the "beach boys". The best dealer told me he hated women!

The Women's Building was a refuge from prejudice and exclusion. I showed my work there and taught classes.

My work has always had a feminist leaning.
My books also.

The prejudice and discrimination continues to this day, though not as bad as it was then. The Woman's Building helped me to fight it out.
